On Tuesday 14th March, Class 6 were invited to attend the Mayor’s Parlour in Clitheroe.  The children took part in two sessions; one upstairs in the committee room where the town clerk explained all about the history of the council and its role today; and one downstairs where they were shown different pieces of civic regalia and told about when and how these are used by the mayor and members of the council.  The trip was very interesting and thoroughly enjoyed by all the children and staff.
